Material Description
Unpigmented HDPE bottles compiled from municipal curbside collection, sorted to remove undesirable material, and ground for efficient transportation and handling.

Sortation Requirements (prior to baling)

• Accept criteria: Unpigmented HDPE bottles, SPI Code 2 (milk containers, tea containers, etc., including labels and caps)
• Reject criteria: Colored HDPE, non-bottle HDPE or otherwise, such as trays or pails; non-HDPE bottle or otherwise, such as PET (Code 1), PVC (Code 3), PLA (Code 7), PP (Code 5); non-plastic such as glass, cans, ice, free-flowing liquids, metal, dirt, gravel, wood, hazardous chemical containers, medical waste such as syringes, personal hygiene materials

Grinding Requirements

• Nominal hole size in grinder not to exceed 3/8”
• Material shall be packaged in palletized clean boxes in good condition with a poly liner, or in palletized fabric "super sacks" having both top and bottom openings
• Each box or bag shall be tagged with the Clean Tech release number
